When Pat Darrah passed away on June 11, 2020, coronavirus-related restrictions meant many of us did not get to say goodbye.

But you can keep Pat’s passion alive…
You couldn’t help but notice when Patrick Darrah was in the room.
He was one of those larger-than-life personalities who participated in every major development in our community.
Whether you knew him or not, it’s safe to say your life is better today because of Pat Darrah’s passion for developing business and culture in our region.
When Pat passed away in June, coronavirus-related restrictions meant many of us did not get the chance to say goodbye and reminisce. We have lost a great community leader. But you can honour Pat’s legacy and keep his passion for our region alive.
Among his many accomplishments, Pat was a driving force behind the formation of Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick in Saint John. Each year, DMNB gives 30 New Brunswick students the opportunity to study medicine in their home province. Pat considered his role in DMNB’s creation the milestone of his many transformative projects. And caring, community-minded people like you can continue this important mission, ensuring Pat’s life work is not forgotten.
Your gift to the Pat Darrah Memorial Medical Education Scholarship will support talented, local medical students from all walks of life. And, in the process, you’ll encourage a new generation of physicians and future community leaders. Pat would be so proud and grateful for your support.
Your thoughtful generosity will help create two annual $5,000 medical education scholarships, granted in perpetuity in Pat Darrah’s honour. And for each year students receive the scholarship, they pledge to return to service and practice medicine in New Brunswick. This return for service agreement encourages more of the best and brightest New Brunswick medical students to practice here at home after graduation. Our foundation is the only organization in Canada to offer this kind of program.
Thank you for ensuring that Pat Darrah’s remarkable legacy will live on.
